Gorham LAUREL Sterling Silver Demi spoon swallows Birds Clouds Mistletoe Wreath
This is a beautiful sterling silver demitasse spoon by Gorham Mfg. Co. in the Laurel pattern. The pattern shows a beautiful leaf and berries pattern that almost looks like mistletoe and cute little birds flying in clouds on the handle. They look like sparrows or swallows. Very whimsical pattern and fun for your table!
This pattern began production in 1885 so it is an old set.
Has a single initial MONOGRAM "D" on the handle in a very ornate font.
The spoon measures just about 4 1/4" in length.
MARKS AND PATTERNS:
Marked Sterling on the back with the Gorham Hallmarks and "Pat 85" (for Patent Date).
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note this is in estate condition with a ripple in the bowl, I'm not sure what from. Some stubborn tarnish in areas of the handle, and some spotting in the bowls. The backs of the bowl has light scratching as well. No damage or scratching, no dings or dents to any of the artwork or design aside from normal wear from polishing over the years, it seems to be just the smooth areas of the bowl and handle where any wear is made more evident by the mirrored finish.
But Please note this is not in mint condition.
